Christmas Eve was the perfect time to showcase the cousins' talents, which was limited to either singing or dancing. For as long as I can remember, the cousins always had to do a dance number. I don't remember all of the songs we danced to but some of them are: We could be together by Debbie Gibson, Electric Youth by Debbie Gibson, Let's go by Richie Valens, and Streetbeat by Toni Basil. I remember singing "Please be careful with my heart" with cousin Ben.
The dance fever infiltrated the younger cousins, but not for long. Some songs they danced to include: Dangerous by Roxette and Men in Black by Will Smith.
The fourth generation of the Paderos are now responsible for the entertainment department. Kat, Laya and Lucas have all sung for their titos, titas, lolos and lolas. I hope the tradition is respected and kept.
